Reduce Crow’s Feet With This Raw Purple Cabbage Slaw Recipe

Written by:

Cabbage can help get rid of crow’s feet, which are a sign that you may have high cortisol levels. High cortisol can cause the skin to break down faster and wrinkles to appear.

The adrenal gland is responsible for making cortisol. By incorporating anti-inflammatory and vitamin A-, C- and E-rich food like cabbage into your diet, you can help to lower cortisol levels, diminish crow’s feet, and prevent lines from forming in the first place.

Try to choose purple cabbage because it has 6 to 8 times more vitamin C than green.

This Raw Purple Cabbage Slaw is the perfect way to introduce more cabbage to your diet. It has a light, beautifying dressing, and is made with fresh, raw with purple cabbage that’s practically bursting with skin beautifying vitamin C and other nutrients, stays crispy, and is appetizing and delicious. I usually eat most of it right after – and sometimes during! — making it, though I do encourage you to let it marinate for a few hours before eating . . . if you can wait!

  1. What is the best time to take your probiotics? Is an empty stomach OK, or should I take them with some food?
    Thanks!

    • We generally recommend 2 capsules in the morning before food, but if you forget or want to take them with food, that works too.

    • It all depends on you and how hungry you are. Some people can eat lots of cabbage (i.e. several cups) and feel amazing. Others can handle less.

  2. and if your highly allergic to stevia.. is there another natural sweetener I can use? I was thinking maybe coconut crystals?

  3. I can not wait to try this out.I met you in Rincon at the farmers market with Forrest! I am Cassandras Mom and these lovely ladies have been raving about you for a couple years now. I have read some of the books Cassandra suggested.and signed up for emails but had not followed yet. I plan to and just wanted to say Thank you for the inspiration! Much success!

  4. Hi Kim

This is yum – I make dressing almost identical to this for pretty much EVERYTHING lol!

One question, will you get the same benefits from eating lots of raw P&E Salad (aka raw sauerkraut) containing purple cabbage, regarding specifically for cortisol levels in this article, as you would this kind of unfermented raw salad?

    Just curious – thanks!
