It’s that time of year again…time to pay homage to the wonderful spirit that carried you into the world: your mother! It’s coming up in a few weeks, so I wanted to give you some ideas about some special gifts that will make this year extra special for mom, who deserves all the best.

1. Sally B’s Skin Yummies Beauty Bag: $105

makeup gift bagTreat mom to this awesome, paraben, bismuth and toxin-free beauty bag, which includes some of my favorite products, including B Glossy Lip Gloss (you can pick the color), Get Even Finishing Powder, B pinched cheek tint, and a wonderful Long Handled Flat Top Kabuki Brush. If you haven’t tried Sally B’s makeup brushes yet you’re in for a treat.

Mom should use the best products, and deserves not to have any harmful chemicals touch her precious skin!

2. Sally B’s Skin Bath Bag: $40

bath gift bagHelp promote Mom de-stressing and relaxing, which is such an important component of overall health and well-being. Baths are a wonderful way to achieve this, and this Bath Bag is filled with fantastic products that will make Mom look forward to to bath time! I personally love the Lemongrass package, but there is also a Lavender package as well. It includes a B Fizzed Bath Bomb, Bath Salts, Bar Soap, and B Brilliant Essential Oil Blend in an organic cotton bag.

3. Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation:

foundationThis foundation will give Mom dewey, flawless skin that she’ll love. The Vapour Organic brand Soft Focus Foundation (Free Shipping Code: Vbeauty330) is one of my favorite foundations I have ever tried, and the first liquid non-toxic foundation that I found to work amazingly well. I bring it to TV shows for the makeup artists to use on me before segments, and makeup artists regularly comment on how great it looks.  This super awesome foundation is made of 70% certified organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments & vitamins. It contains nourishing ingredients such as organic pumpkin and papaya complex, lysine (an essential amino acid), and the mineral silica.

Get it for Mom, and maybe yourself if you haven’t tried it yet!

4. Aura Multi-Use Blush – Classic:

vapour blushThis is fantastic, natural looking blush that Mom can use during the day, or bump up application for a more for a sexy, but still natural-looking evening look. The official name is the Multi-Use Blush in Courtesan (Free Shipping Code: Vbeauty330), which I think is universally flattering. Many powdered mineral brands just sit on the surface of your face, and don’t blend in quite enough to be truly believable. This one creates a natural, fresh glow to your face. I’ve never been into liquid blushes because I don’t want any more layers on my face clogging my face.  But I just put a dab of this wonderful solid blush in the apple of my cheeks, and then blend it in well with a blush brush. This product is also made with 70% certified organic ingredients and 30% mineral pigments and vitamins.

It’s a great gift for Mom- and will last her for ages.

5. Adesso White Chumash Bracelet: – $50 but 30% off with coupon code (yoga)!

bracelete This beautiful tribal bracelet (30% off coupon code: yoga) in white is a perfect gift for Mom with summer on the way, but can be also work year round. It is made up of white wood bead, with metallic snake beads.

I love that it can be worn dressed down, with jeans or shorts, or dressed up with a beautiful summer dress and heels. The white-gold combination is elegant and beautiful. You might want to also get one for yourself!

6. Vitamix:

vitamix 5200 blenderThe ultimate gift for Mom’s health, so she too can enjoy the GGS and more health-promoting recipes to keep her feeling and looking her best.

You can get the 5200 model, or if you’re more on a budget, you can enjoy all the benefits of the Vitamix with but with a lower price tag by purchasing a refurbished machine which may have been on the sales floor or returned, but is tested and works great. My first Vitamix was a refurbished model!

7. Clarisonic Mia II cleanser:

MIA II cleanser toolI got this for my Mom a few weeks ago and she loves it. I love the berry color, as it looks pretty in the bathroom. This is a great tool for deep cleansing, and can be used a few times a week (more or less depending on your skin). It will help remove dead cells so the efficacious ingredients in Mom’s creams can penetrate deeper and help brighten her skin.

    Hi kim,
What are your thoughts to the origins skincare and make up line? The lady in the counter said that all of their products are organic?

Hi Kimberly, love the blog and book!! I have a question for you, I’ve been following the blossoming beauty plan for a few days now. I was a vegetarian already and didn’t eat much dairy. Even in this short time I can tell that I’ve lost weight, which isn’t good since I was already a bit too thin. Do you have any ways that I can up the calories?? Thanks!

      Hi Kim,

Increase your portion sizes of quinoa, have the Rainforest Acai shake with more chia seeds, increase avocados, and eat almond butter with celery sticks and millet bread with avocado, etc. xx

    HI KIMBERLY!

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE BEAUTY TIPS YOU GIVE ON MAKE UP AND THE SPECTACULAR MOTHER’S DAY IDEAS.

ALL MY LIFE I’VE HAD VERY SENSITIVE SKIN AND EYES. SO IT’S TORTURE WHEN I WANT TO WEAR EYE MAKEUP. MY EYES START TO STING THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT WHEN I WEAR MASCARA AND EYELINER. I WASH MY FACE AND EYES THOROUGHLY BEFORE BED AND TRY TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS OFF; HOWEVER, I STILL WAKE UP WITH NASTY GUNK IN MY EYES, AND MY EYELIDS ARE OFTEN STUCK TOGETHER. EEEEWWWW!!!!! ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    Hi Kimberly,
I have been in the radiant beauty phase for 5 weeks now. I have to say I feel amazing! I have lost 11lbs and I have so much energy. I love the GGS and I look forward to it everyday. My only question has to do with my skin. I started using a natural cleanser and coconut oil for my moisturizer. However my face is breaking out more than ever. I’m not sure if my body is just cleansing out all the impurities or if I’m doing something wrong. I’m trying to be patient but I would love some direction. It looks like you will be posting a blog soon on this topic.

Yes I will Jessica. For now, try the Sally B’s cleanser, and maybe get the clarisonic brush to help really clean out your face a few nights a week. Try the Sally B moisturizer too, which is pretty milk for acne-prone skin, instead of the coconut oil straight on your face (but keep using it on your body). Are you pooping enough? To get toxins out, you know we have to talk about that right? :) Kimberly

Thank you for getting back to me! I will definitely try those products! To be honest with you I don’t think I am pooping enough for how many greens I’m consuming. I will go once a day but sometimes every other day and they are hard. I have always had constipation problems. I am taking two magnesium pills each night but I didn’t get the one with oxygen that you recommend. I am going to order that online. I drink about 68 fl. oz per day. Any suggestions?

    Hi Kimberley

Thanks for the tips! I am a Mum but could not wait for Mothers day so I ordered stuff for myself from Vapour Beauty after reading a previous post you did on it! Love them so far.
I have been following most tips in your book and want to start gravity-centered colonics. My question is – how often should one get them? I will be starting with a deal where you get three spaced out over about 4 weeks and I am planning to continue to get one every four to six weeks thereafter. Does this sound ok to you?
    Thanks in advance.

I understand the functioning of glucose in our body’s have difficulties in the selection of natural foods.
For example they have local say that the banana has average GI others say it is low. I am a little confused.

I also really like the Beauty without Cruelty Alpha Hydroxy Cleanser, which I use with the Mia. I got one last week and use it occasionally- I like how it feels!
Oh, and thank you. I actually have some areas of my face with large pores, and my skin was not so “flawless” before I overhauled my diet and skincare routine. xx

Jillian-Kimberly likes Tata Harper cleanser, and I think the moisturizer as well. I remember her talking about this brand in particular. I bought the trial size just to check it out and it’s smells so yummy, it’s addicting, and also very gentle on your skin. Made 100% natural..

    Hi!

Thank you so much for these amazing recommendations! Quick question: what facial cleanser and daily moisturizer do you recommend? My skin is different after having my baby, and by different, I don’t mean better!! Every dermatologist I’ve seen is recommending either prescription medication or washes that are full of chemicals. They also will not recommend a moisturizer without sunscreen, and my eyes are very sensitive to sunscreen, so I need to use a separate mineral one, only when necessary. I would be very grateful if you could recommend some products or brands that you like.

    Thanks again!!

Yes I will do a blog on this topic soon! BTW Sally B’s mineral powdered foundation is largely titanium dioxide, so though it isn’t listed as an SPF yet it is pretty good. And great for acne-prone/blemish-prone skin.
I use it for casual days, then I use the Vapour one I list above for evening events or TV shows. :)
