The human body doesn’t process gluten well. Try eliminating gluten-containing grains including wheat, rye, and barley. Check to make sure the oats you eat have been processed in a gluten-free plant, as well. Foods that help burn fat are usually free from gluten, think about fresh foods from the farmers markets and local farms.
Hi Kim~
I saw you interviewed on the morning news the other day. A few questions…
1. I got some lemon juice and am wondering, is that as good as squeezing fresh lemon into my water? And, approx how many ounces is recommended per 8oz glass of water, and how many glasses per day? (I don’t want to over do it).
2. I was muscle tested ‘intolerant’ to dairy/glutton but the blood work taken using traditional testing methods didn’t signify any intolerance, let along sensitivity or celiac. My doctor is convinced that my chronic, low-grade flu like sx’s have nothing to do w/dairy or glutton intake. But reading your words above that “the human body doesn’t process glutton well” makes me wonder if I aught to give it another try. Only when I was eating glutton free foods, aside from the great expense, there little to no fiber and I constantly struggled with irregularity. Once back on high fiber foods like Fiber One etc, it’s no longer a problem (and quite the relief!) And, the glutton-free foods are loaded w/calories in the form of corn, starch, rice, etc, etc. Any thoughts on this? I read ‘Dangerous Grains’ which agreed with you that most of us would be better off eilminating glutton. So I’m re-considering.
Look forward to hearing back.
Hey Raquel- check out my responses to some of your other comments. I can’t really give personal advise though as I haven’t given you a full nutritional consultation.
I eat quinoa instead of breads, and don’t buy the heavy corn and potato-flour based gluten-free replacements. xx
You should look for a DNA test to confirm sensitivity and/or celiac.
Try getting tested for lyme disease. And have it done twice.
