Old Dogs Movie Premiere

November 10, 2009

Hey Guys!

Okay, this is just one of the occasional Hollywood blogs I throw in, just for kicks. :) Last night I went to the world premiere of Old Dogs, which was in LA. It was a really fun family movie, and it opens Thanksgiving weekend! Lots of laughs for the fam.

Admittedly, I was just the tiniest bit starstruck to run into some of my favorite actors. First of all, when I grew up Splash was like my favorite movie ever. Mermaids!! So I love Tom Hanks (his wife Rita Wilson is in the movie)…

And Robin Williams…I love Dead Poet’s Society. What a nice guy. If you look to the left, that is him with the glasses. (Still took this sneaky picture!).

And at the party afterward, which is always much smaller than the movie premiere itself, I chatted with the absolutely lovely Kelly Preston.

I started the night with a slick ponytail but half way through the night went to the bathroom and took it down. Have you ever done that when you’ve been out? Not been entirely happy with your hair?? I realize I don’t like myself that much in a ponytail- or maybe I am just not good at making it look good myself. :) Okay, I’ve thought Seth Green is one of the funniest young actors since Austin Powers, and what a nice guy he is. I didn’t realize how um, petite he is (in a good way!). So I think this picture is funny because next to him my head looks HUGE!!

Okay, that’s all. Thanks for doing that little red carpet tour with me. Back to food stuff next post!

Lots of love, Kimberly

  1. My name is Kimberley aswell. Except mine is ley at the end. Just saying.

  2. Hola Kim! You looked great in the pictures. I was so happy to see you again in class. It was a fantastic class with new stuff or just maybe in a different order but still it was really fresh! I always love the music that you play but today was different and still good. Any way you looked great with your hair up but I guess that you just feel more natural with your hair down, in any case you looked great.
    Adios,

  3. You look gorgeous with your hair up or down! I’m the opposite. I wear my hair down and after 5 minutes it’s back in a ponytail. Looks like you had a great time! Thanks so much for sharing those fun pics. :)

    • Hi C! Thanks so much. :) How are you doing out there in Dubai??

  4. That’s so exciting meeting all those celebrities!

Anyway, I have a question about juicing. I don’t think I’ve read about juicing on your blog, but I know you always talk about green smoothies which I’ve been doing! I just had my first colonic and the colon hydrotherapist recommended that I incorporate fresh vegetable juices into my diet as well. Do you juice at all? If so, is there a juicer you recommend? I read somewhere that its important to use a juicer that works at a low speed, because many of the juicers out there work at very high speeds warm the juice up, destroying the enzymes. What’s your take?

    • HI Christi! Yes I juice also. I think the Green Smoothies are important, especially in the beginning, because of all the fiber. There are different theories as to which is better. I use both for different reasons. Try the Breville 2 speed juicer, which is good for juicing greens. :)
      xx Kimberly
