Papaya Enzyme Salad

December 29, 2008

This salad is YUM and super-easy!! Made in a few minutes, this salad is delicious, filling, and jam-packed with enzymes and beautifying nutrients. You can find papaya at most health food stores, since it is still in season in the Caribbean and parts of Central and South America. Talk about giving yourself a boost of freshness and energy as we draw December to a close!

I also experimented and added bananas to this version of the Papaya Enzyme Salad.

Papayas:
Extremely beautifying for the skin and hair! Contain a lot of alkalizing minerals such as calcium, Vitamin A and collagen-healing Vitamin C. Its enzymes soothe the digestive tract. Also very high in the protease enzyme papain, which will cleanse the skin and tighten our skin’s collagen tissue.

Avocados: To make the skin supple and youthful. Also, the beneficial monosaturated fats, that contain oleic acid, also make this salad very filling. Avocados are full of antioxidants and rich in necessary minerals like potassium, calcium, vitamins A, C and K, folic acid, copper, sodium and are extremely high in dietary fibers.

Lime:
To restore the liver tissue! Like lemon, lime is a citric fruit with around 200 enzymes.

Stevia: You can sprinkle some in or mix it with the lime juice and pour on top. Use as much as you need to sweeten.

Chop papaya and add sliced avocado on top. Top with lime and stevia to sweeten. That’s it!!!

Dreaming of an amazing 2009 coming up!!!

  2. [...] Then I’ll go swimming, etc. for a while. When I get hungry again, I like to have fruit next. If I am pretty hungry, I like to have fruit with the fatty fruit of avocado. Avocado is so filling with good beauty fat, fiber and minerals. Avocado with fruit is just about the perfect beach food, besides young coconuts. Here I am having my Papaya Enzyme Salad.
